Kinetic Perforated Metal Art Wall, Dallas,Texas
R & D Thinktank wanted a working environment that would reflect their image as a forward thinking creative agency. The company is located in the historic Hickory Street Annex near downtown Dallas. They needed a flexible display for their artwork to show potential clients. However, the only location for the display was in front of a wall of windows. The display system needed to be semi-transparent to maintain views to the outside and allow natural daylight into the space.  

The solution was to use moveable perforated metal panels.   High strength magnets were used to attach a rotating body of artwork.   The panels are framed with bar stock steel and hung from a sliding barn door track, which allows for flexibility. Clamped at the top of each panel is a telescoping light fixture.   The industrial look of the steel frame and perforated steel panels compliment the historic industrial appeal of the workspace.
