A Design Task for the City of Las Vegas Park System
The solution was an efficient plan enclosing two water closets for women and one water closet and one urinal for men . The dual level sinks and hand air dryers are approached on the exterior, under the entrance overhang.

The basic construction material is colored concrete block to a height of 7'4" providing a structural base to apply the prefabricated steel roof frame, corrugated steel roof system and perforated steel siding.

The steel siding was perforated with 5/16" diameter spaced holes in prefinished alternate "strips" then roll bent to corrugated shape, resulting in a panel with solid vertical faces and canted legs with perforations.

The results provide ventilation, natural daylighting and a "Chinese lantern" effect at night defining the exterior destination and security lighting.

The repeatable typical plans allowed the local subcontractor, Noorda Sheet Metal, to stockpile standard steel frames and the formed perforated siding, resulting in efficiency of construction and cost.

Thus far, the City of Las Vegas has constructed more than fifteen of these convenience facilities in public park settings throughout the city.
