Tenant Improvements, within a Type-I High-Rise Office Building
Design Program
Incident Monitoring and Processing Center. Conference/Situation Room with visual access to the Monitoring Center. Director’s office, with direct access to the Monitoring Center.
Project Objectives
Creation of a space and environment ideal for the analysis and processing of real-time worldwide events. Space with great visual impact, allowing visitors and clients to be introduced / immersed in the unique high-tech activities taking place on the site, while setting the company’s identity and corporate image.

Perforated Metal Application
Perforated metal panels were utilized both as decorative architectural elements, and as components of custom built-in lighting fixtures. The selection of this material was part of the aesthetic response to the high-tech nature of the client’s business, and as a natural complement to the office
equipment.
Soft-curving walls and geometry, in combination with illuminated perforated stainless steel wall panels, create distinct dynamic views and perspectives as the visitor walks through the project.
Panels were mounted on custom-fabricated steel frames, directly attached to the steel-stud walls. Panels next to doors are flat, and the rest are curved, complementing the geometry and layout of openings, walls, and soffits.
Blue neon-like L.E.D. lighting strips were installed at the top and bottom of panels, behind the non-perforated end margins, allowing the light to glow both between the panel separation gaps, and through the metal perforations within each section in a soft gradient fashion, creating a moiré visual effect through the perforations.
