The perforated serpentine ceiling was used in the R&S Mercedes project because the curved ceiling allowed the space to reinforce the elegance and sleek style one wound except of a Mercedes dealership. The challenge in this project was to create a human scale on the 2.5 story 20,000 square foot automobile showroom space. The perforated ceiling allowed the sales area in the showroom to be linked by the whimsy use of the ceiling with Optic String pendants to provide the optimum space scale solution. The superior flexibility, and the numerous finish options of the perforated ceiling allowed the design capabilities to be unique and yet still provide a perfect complement to the high-end design of the Mercedes dealership.
