The subterranean Metro Rail Line Station below Hollywood Boulevard and adjacent to such famous landmarks as Mann's Chinese Theater, is an important stop on the new transit system serving major portions of the city. Each station along the route reflects a unique design concept, providing a memorable experience that aids passengers in orientation by embodying characteristics of its surrounding neighborhood. This station, which must accommodate the numerous complexities of a highly-trafficked underground transit facility, reflects the surrounding fantasy of Hollywood Boulevard and the drama of the entertainment industry. Cannon Design was the lead architect for this subterranean Metro Red Line Station at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, as the prime consultant to Bechtel Corporation.
